I simply couldn’t believe that we were actually in our own home and weren’t surrounded by neighbors.
It made me to a happy dance multiple times through the day just thinking about it.
The idea of walking around naked was pretty cool too since nobody could see me. My wife and I had finally left the apartment in the city with the radiant heating and zero HVAC cooling. This meant we were entering a completely new era and chapter for our lives. It made me so happy to finally have our own place. For the first time in our lives, there were no neighbors on all sides of us. This is something I had longed for since I was a kid growing up inside that city. Additionally, having all this property was almost as good as having the house. For sure the house is incredible and had just been completely renovated prior to us buying it. There was even a whole new residential HVAC along with all the new HVAC technology. Our heat pump was really just state-of-the-art. It had a really high SEER rating which meant it was super efficient. When we started living here we didn’t put up any window treatments because there were no neighbors. But we got cured of that pretty quick when we learned all about direct sunlight heating. Without any solar shades, direct sunlight heating made the air conditioning run almost nonstop. So it didn’t take long for us to figure out that we needed window treatments just to keep the HVAC cooling cost down. However, I’m still really fond of running around naked.
