As I was growing up, all I wanted to do was to get out of the tiny town I grew up in. There just wasn’t enough excitement and I wanted to live in a city. The idea of having a cool apartment and always having something to do was just so appealing. After college, I took a shot of that. The apartment was okay with the heating and cooling with all that great. The neighbors were loud and I couldn’t afford to live in a great building so I had to deal with it. The experience was anticlimactic at best. I ended up taking a new job that took me to a more rural area. Once again, I kind of thought that it wasn’t the sort of action that I was looking for. But the house I bought had brand new residential HVAC and all the latest in the HVAC technology. Living out of the city was also an economic boon for me because my dollar went so much farther. I found something even more valuable that I had sort of taken for granted when I was younger. This would be a real community. The neighbors here were also welcoming. I found that living in a caring community was incredible and less excitement was a decent trade off. I like it that we really are there for each other. A great example is a lady down the street who lives on a fixed income and needs help. She couldn’t afford to replace for HVAC unit. Not only did our community raise enough money to help her, the local HVAC company installed the new residential HVAC for free.
