I personally love to be outdoors.
I love hiking, swimming, going to the beach, going for walks, sitting outside in the sun, and going for bike rides.
I recently became friends with Stacey, who is a super nice person. We met through mutual friends. Stacey and I have been hanging out quite often, but lately I realized that Stacey is not much of an outdoors person. All relationships and friendships require compromise, so I try to be mindful of that. Whenever Stacey invites me over to hangout, she would rather sit inside in the air conditioning than go outside. Stacey has such a nice pool at her house, so it kills me when she suggests we play video games and watch movies in the air conditioning all day instead of going outside. Stacey loves technology and she wanted to show off how amazing her smart thermostat is. I appreciate that she loves technology, but I also have a smart thermostat so I do not need to sit inside and see how a smart thermostat works to be impressed. The last time I was at Stacey’s house, I suggested that we go for a swim since it was a beautiful day outside and I could feel the heat from the sun through the door. Stacey said that she would rather stay inside because it was too hot out, and the air conditioning felt good. I decided to go outside by myself because I could not tolerate wasting a beautiful day of sun and heat to sit inside in air conditioning. Stacey and I are very different people, she loves A/C and I love the sun.
