Taking the new career was not exactly the most elegant prospect for me. But it was an immense life change that I felt I needed to do. The idea of leaving for the southern regions just wasn’t all that amazing. I actually was born and raised up north so the idea of a ton of air conditioning all warm season wasn’t especially awesome! And I was moving a long way away as well, but essentially, I was trading a gas furnace for a heat pump. It was true indeed, I was sort of flipping my temperatures upside down! My whole life, the only HVAC drawback that mattered was HVAC Heating, however when I took this work, I knew that this would be the opposite of what I could do except with HVAC cooling. After some thoughtful consideration, I felt this was a challenge I could not pass up. The new office was pretty awesome as it was almost brand new and definitely well appointed. I could tell that the HVAC machine was definitely awesome and that was impressive because the commercial HVAC in the aged office wasn’t. I even had a thermostat that controlled my actual office. Residential HVAC was all about the heat pump. This is the go to residential HVAC machine down here, however, it’s not just the heat you need to be thinking about. The humidity level just magnifies the way the heat feels, so we’re fortunate that the heat pump is also balancing the humidity level inside our residences. I learned that the strenuous way when I left for vacation and turned the air conditioning machine off. I came back to a lot of mold and mildew I had to scrub up.
