It was a 90 degree day, and we did not have air conditioning. Our house was so hot inside, it actually felt slightly cooler outside! I knew that problem would happen, and it is what I was afraid of. Skipping multiple air conditioning maintenance appointments led to this, and now we were going to have to wait to get the A/C machine repaired. The HVAC wait time is a week, which isn’t that long, unless you are hot and miserable like we are. My dad opened a window to try and let some of the cooler air in, but the air outside was really not much cooler. It was still hot outside, and it didn’t make our home feel much better. The next day was even worse at over 100 degrees, and my dad and I decided it was getting dangerous to stay in our own home, so we decided to wait out the rest of the time in a comfortable hotel. When we arrived at the hotel we chose, the first thing we asked about was the cooling machine. Thankfully, their air conditioning component worked perfectly fine, and it was extremely relieving to walk into a nice cold air conditioned room. It was so comfortable I ended up sleeping for hours, unlike in our home where we couldn’t sleep at all. It was incredibly expensive to stay there, but it was worth it. We arrived back just in time to catch the A/C worker at our home, and he was able to repair the air conditioner back to normal functioning. I was so glad to have the A/C back.
