Buying an aged beach house really has its benefits, especially if you savor history and aged architecture enjoy I do. However, there are some drawbacks to buying an aged home, then for one, they usually need work. Oftentimes aged homes are not taken care of properly or occasionally abandoned, and so they need a lot of structural labor to be habitable again. Thankfully the beach house I had obtained was structurally sound, the repairs it had were more minor! Despite this, the beach house had reMEd on the market for multiple months separate from any clients interested in it. And it was simple for me to see why, it was because it needed heating and cooling work. Most people want to buy a beach house and transfer in separate from dealing with any problems, especially Heating and A/C related problems. This beach house being an older home, had an aged wood stove as its only sort of heating. There was no cooling, and no HVAC duct… Now it was incredibly expensive to add HVAC duct to this aged home, and possibly damaging, and so my hubby and I decided on just getting a ductless a/c. The Heating and A/C specialist all of us talked to told us this was the best method. The ductless Heating and A/C idea is as its name implies, it does not need duct work. Without the air ducts, the Heating and A/C upgrade was much easyr, and much cheaper. Getting the ductless heating and cooling idea was surprisingly simple, and all of us managed to get this beautiful beach house for a wonderful price because nobody wanted to deal with the really solvable Heating and A/C problems.
