When I bought a beach house that had a gas fireplace and I didn’t think what I was getting into, I knew that fireplaces were overheated although I didn’t think anything about gas fireplaces; In fact, for the longest time after I moved into my beach house I didn’t use it because I was afraid that it would explode if I turned it on.
I didn’t have a lot of trust for gas fireplaces.
I had heard nothing but negative things from my family about them. Even if it didn’t explode when I turned it on, I was anxious that it was going to silently have a gas leak at some point and then I was going to be found dead in my home. I tended to guess in the worst case scenarios even if I knew that that was unlikely. However it seems love no matter what I did I couldn’t stop worrying. Then Winter time came and the hot and cold temperatures in the House rapidly became cold cold. Even my oil furnace couldn’t keep the house overheated enough for my comfort. So after doing a little bit of research I decided to take the risk and turn on the gas fireplace. I turned it on and…it didn’t explode. I felt instantly relieved. In fact, it started warming up my house definitely rapidly. I couldn’t believe how fast my house became super overheated and cozy. I fell asleep on the couch with the warmth of the fireplace nearby, when I woke up the house was still nice and warm, and I realized that I had been anxious about the danger of the gas fireplace. I did a little more research into how to use it officially and now that I think how to officially use it I care about having one.
