I definitely don’t regret learning to program my thermostat, if anything, I wish I had done it sooner! For a long time, I would just adjust the temperatures as needed on my thermostat.
It was a bit of an inconvenience to constantly get up and adjust the temperature, but nothing major.
When I would leave for work, I would leave the cooling machine on, because I did not want to come back to an overheated house. However, I ended up hearing from an online video some energy saving tips, and that was one of them. I learned how to program the dial thermostat, and once I did, it made everything much easier. I made sure to have the cooling device turn itself off while I was at work, and turn it back on 30 minutes before I was supposed to arrive home. I also programmed the thermostat to turn on at night as well, because cooler temperatures at night help me sleep. When I received my HVAC bill, I noticed there was definitely a decrease in price, so programming the thermostat really does help you save money. Learning all of this was actually kind of fun, and I couldn’t help but to wonder what other energy saving tips there are that I don’t know about yet. I am going to have to research and see if I can find any more HVAC related advice online. Or I might call a local heating and A/C company, they would probably know the most about energy saving help.
