Before I bought my home, I lived in numerous current home buildings.
- The last rental equipment I lived in, was half a double home.
I had a gas furnace for my unit, and there was a gas furnace for the other unit. I needed to have an Heating and Air Conditioning worker disinfect the gas furnace and get it ready for winter, so I called the local Heating and Air Conditioning company. Two days later, the Heating and Air Conditioning worker and I were looiing into this square hole that led down to the gas furnace. There wasn’t a ladder or folding steps and every one of us were both wondering how he was going to get downstairs to the gas furnace. I called the landlord and asked him how every one of us accessed the gas furnace. He told me I had to ask the friend to let him in so he could down the basement stairs and then enter into my gas furnace area. The neighbors were working. He then told me I could go into the attic and go through their attic door and get into their current home that way. I didn’t want to be arrested for entering their lake house when they weren’t home. He said to leave a note saying that he gave us permission. I was not going into their current home by going through the attic, just to get to the gas furnace. If that was the only entrance, he needed to come over and open the door for the Heating and Air Conditioning worker. He gave me a thirty morning notice for eviction because I was being stubborn. The Heating and Air Conditioning worker told me I’d be lucky if he didn’t charge me for breaking the lease, and I just looked at him. I had a feeling he was right.
