I guess we may have to buy a fan and make do with that in the meantime
I´m currently going through a difficult period financially and in order to save money I’m living in my mother-in-law’s flat. One morning I was working on my computer when the doorbell rang, and two men answered the door. One of the men, who claimed to be the landlord, asked if his HVAC technician could go into the kitchen to take measures. I didn’t think too much about it so I let him in. After they left I forgot all about it and continued with my business. However, a few days later my mother-in-law told me she got angry with the landlord because he turned up unannounced. She told me that due to council regulations, they cannot have the air conditioning cables on the exterior facade, so they have to carry out work in order to remodel the wiring system so that they are in the interior patio. She was very annoyed about this because she recently had her air conditioner repaired and now has to deal with a lot of hassle. On top of that, it’s the middle of summer and I have no idea how we are going to manage without a cooling device. I guess we may have to buy a fan and make do with that in the meantime. The HVAC technician told us it may take one to two weeks for the completion of the task. Another idea is to go away and stay in a hotel with an air conditioner service in the rooms. Luckily I work online, so this is doable and practically the only way I could escape the intense summer heat.
