The leaves from the trees are starting to fall and the weather is beginning to get chilly.
A melancholic mood creeps in on me as I recall with nostalgia the happy and warm days of summer.
I don’t like fall, especially Halloween when all the kids keep ringing the doorbell asking for candy while I’m trying to watch TV or just having a peaceful night in. I look out of my window and see dark gray clouds and I poke my face out and feel the chilly wind against my face. It reminds me I need to get my heater serviced before winter, so I go to the phone and call the HVAC technician to ask him when he would be available to do a thorough inspection of my HVAC system. Lately, I’ve been struggling with all kinds of things going wrong around the house. At one point, I had to have cold showers because my bathroom furnace broke down and didn’t have warm water, so I asked my HVAC technician if he could repair that also. I couldn’t believe the amount of money he was charging me for his work, but I just cannot go without heating in the winter and must get it done in order to stay warm. I guess I could also use my air conditioner for heating, but I don’t like it because it leaves the air too dry and makes me ill. Where I live the weather gets very harsh, so it’s crucial that my heating system is working correctly during the winter.
