For our honeymoon, my husband and I went on an ocean voyage. We were to be at sea for two weeks, but after two hours, I was ready to go home. We got a suite that overlooked one of the main decks. We could watch the wake of the ship as it floated across the ocean to its destination. When we got into our suite, I went for the HVAC system. I couldn’t get any air conditioning. I looked at my husband and he shrugged. He called the front desk and told them we didn’t have any air conditioning. She told us they didn’t usually turn anything on until we were into international waters. We were still too close to shore for the HVAC system to be turned on. We gave it another hour, and then we tried the air conditioning again. Nothing was happening, and we called the main desk again. They promised to send an HVAC technician to our suite. She said they would offer us another suite, but they were all full. I told her to send the HVAC technician. We had the window open and were sitting on the private patio when the HVAC technician arrived. He looked at the HVAC system, but there wasn’t anything he could do. They would need to order another HVAC unit when we got into port, which wasn’t going to be for another day. I was really wishing we hadn’t decided to go on an ocean voyage. We would have air conditioning in our apartment back home. Two days later, the air conditioning unit was replaced, and we had the best honeymoon I could have imagined.
