We obtained a full case of air filters from the condo center, thinking my friend and I would have the current Heating, Ventilation & A/C system for another year or more. When my friend and I obtained a modern furnace and air conditioner component three months later, it used weird air filters. We had the air cleaner, which also used HEPA air filters. I thought I could take the air filters back to the condo center, since they were still in the wrapping and kept in the box, but they refused to take them back. I looked at what was in the box, and told him they sold them individually. I didn’t want money back for the entire counter, although he could provide me discounted price back per item. He said he didn’t know where they were stored, and if they were compromised by where they were stored. I understood what he was saying, but that didn’t mean I was glad. I didn’t know what I was going to do with these air filters when they would not fit my modern Heating, Ventilation & A/C system. When the Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker showed up to check our Heating, Ventilation & A/C system, I asked him about the air filters. He said he could not provide us money for them, although he could take them to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier with him. He could absolutely use the air filters for other customers, and he would not need to charge them. My fiance and I were happier with that than needing to throw them away. We got both cases of air filters, and made him promise not to charge anyone if he used these air filters in their Heating, Ventilation & A/C system.
