I thought that I wanted nothing more than to live in the tropics when I got older. My family visited the islands a few times while I was a kid, & it left an impression on me. I really love the beaches & the water as well. However, I’m now living in the southernmost portion of my country, & I feel like it’s hotter than I ever could have imagined. It’s especially tepid every year right around the time Spring starts to transition into summer. Sometimes my pal and I get nice Spring weather with cool temperatures in the 60s & seventies throughout the afternoon hours. But then there are other mornings where it gets so tepid outside that you wonder whether or not it’s Spring or summer. You really have to prepare for the Summer season every year. One of the things that is a lifesaver in this region is a good a/c. It’s really not a option if you want to survive the Summer season. You could get a heat stroke in your home if it got so tepid outside that you could not get sufficient air circulation inside. My a/c is already 10 years outdated & it’s getting to a point where it’s going to need to be upgraded in the next five or six years. It’s no longer under warranty so if anything extreme happens to the component I’m going to have to consider replacing it altogether. You just can’t survive in this region without a good a/c through the Summer season. Sometimes my pal and I even get mornings in the winter season where it’s so tepid you need an a/c then too.
