I had never gone skiing before in my life when my in-laws invited me.
My wifey was telling me about all the ski trips they used to take as a family when she was growing up.
I told them all that I had no experience, however they were eager to teach me regardless, lucky for me they were patient & let me start out on the easy slope so I wouldn’t hurt myself. I was terrified of getting some extreme injury that would cause me to lose my ability to labor my task once I got back home. But I didn’t fall too much & when I did I was okay. We had so much fun despite my lack of experience that I started to realize how much I appreciated my in-laws as much as I appreciated my wifey. They’re like a second family to me & they treat me as if I was their biological child. We all pitched in to rent a ski cottage for the week & it had an amazing boiler inside. It had three peculiar sources of heat if you could actually guess it. There was a traditional fireplace with lots of wood to burn, radiant heated flooring throughout, & a central furnace hooked up to a ventilation system in the ceiling. It could get so tepid in there that my pal and I could turn the ski cottage into a sauna if my pal and I really wanted to. I was so delighted about the experience on the trip that I told my wifey & my in-laws that my pal and I should rent the same ski cottage the next time my pal and I come to the slopes to ski. I’m not that much of a skier however I just appreciate spending all of this time with my wifey & her parents.
