We are saving money now with our smart thermostat system that we got last year.
I thought at first that we might not be able to save as much money with it as we thought that we were going to.
I did a whole lot of research on different kinds of thermostat units before we replaced our old one last year. I knew at that point that I wanted to get either a smart thermostat or Wi-fi thermostat but I wasn’t sure which one. Actually, I did not really even know what the difference was between the two at that point until I did a lot of research on them. Apparently, both Wi-fi thermostats and smart thermostats connect to the internet, but they do not work exactly the same way. Wi-fi thermostats are only able to make adjustments to your heating and cooling system when you tell them to. However, a smart thermostat can actually learn your family’s habits and the temperature preferences that you want to have present in your home. Over time, a smart thermostat can learn to automatically adjust and control your heating and cooling system for you and so you never have to worry about adjusting them again. So smart thermostats are easy to use and you can just leave them alone once you get them installed, but installation can be a big pain. I found out that I was going to have to have a professional HVAC technician come and install it if we decided to go with the smart thermostat, which we did!
