It seems as if I have tried everything under the daylight to stay boiling at my desk in the winter time months.
I have obtained a space heater, I have dressed in several layers, and I have even used a blanket at my desk.
It seems like there is consistently something going on. In the winter time months, the door is consistently being opened and closed, resulting in uneven temperatures in the area where my office is located.The rest of the office is closed off and does not experience the cold air coming from the outdoors each time the door is opened. I thought that having a space heater under my desk would solve my problem, but I have found that this only warms my feet and legs. This is nice, however, my hands are consistently cold. I feel like I should be wearing gloves inside. The only solution I can find would be to move my office further from the front door. I like that I can see who is coming and going, however the inconsistent temperature at my desk is going to drive me insane! I finally spoke to the cabin supervisor about this issue. He told me that because the windows are so large, there is a major draft coming into the office from all angles. My friend and I are located near the ocean, and the wind can get intense, then gary told me that he would have someone come out to seal the windows on the top and the bottom to try and prevent this exhausting draft from coming in.
