I have always been an avid golfer, I spent my childhood taking lessons and practicing my swing.

I remember riding my bike up to the country club in the blazing heat and then just sitting in the clubhouse with the air conditioning blowing on my for about fifteen minutes. It was a tough bike ride, through the woods and on a main highway. The heat was something you had to get used to as a golfer because the summertime is when the sport was in season. Because of this, I developed an interest in HVAC systems. It is the best feeling in the world to get of the golf course, walk into the pro shop and feel the rush of the A/C. I started looking into the technology of these HVAC systems and realized there are a lot of advancements coming our way soon. Everyday I check different websites to learn about these updates to HVAC technology. The one that stands out the most to me is the articles I have read about smart thermostats. Smart thermostats are controlled through wifi on a smartphone, users can change the temperature of their HVAC units from their smartphones as long as they are connected to wifi. This is going to change the world when it comes to heating and cooling homes. I am excited to show this to the golf shop owner and hopefully he will have a smart thermostat installed at the county club.
