I have never lived in a northern climate that experiences cold winters.
I grew up in a small southern neighborhood & stayed there until this past year.
I have a long distance guy & he lives up north. My friend and I have been dating for about 2 years now & figured it was time for one of us to move closer to the other. It was hard to decide which one of us was going to make the large move at first, however more than 2 months ago my guy go a large promotion at work & had would undoubtedly have to stay in the part for at least another year. I was tired of being long distance, so I made the decision to pack up my motorcar & move up north. He told me to make sure I packed all of the hot clothing I owned because the winters up there were no joke, but being a southern girl, I unquestionably didn’t own anything that would keep me to warm, however I packed what I had. I share an home with one of my friends & my associate and I keep the cooling system running year round, I unquestionably had no idea what I was in for. My first night there the temperature dropped to around 40 degrees & I was frigid, my guy told me that this was nothing & that sporadically the rapidly changing temperatures dropped below zero. That is when I started doing some investigation. I called an Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractor to come look at my guy’s furnace & temperature control just to make sure they didn’t require & routine service, then fortunately the Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractor told me the furnace & temperature control were the best money could buy. He didn’t say the furnace needed any service which was a shock!
