I’m not a fan of nitpicking over other people’s quality of work.
- I’m not the type of person to complain over an incorrect coffee order, a lazy waitress, or a cashier’s attitude.
I’ve worked retail before so I know exactly how miserable it is. If my purchases aren’t perfect, I just accept what I get and mutter angrily to myself for a few hours rather than getting anyone in trouble. That being said, there is a certain point where I have to draw the line and be a little less understanding. That line was drawn last month when my central heating unit completely failed and I was left with no temperature control for several days. I called the nearest HVAC company and they scheduled a furnace repair technician to be out as soon as possible, however, it was two days before I ever laid eyes on a ventilation specialist. Then, after he arrived, his demeanor left a lot to be desired. He was completely unpleasant and unprofessional, and barely said a word to me the entire time he was inspecting the furnace. In fact, he acted as if I was being a bother when I asked what had gone wrong with my central heating system, and refused to tell me what repairs he was conducting in the heating cabinet. He left and I received a very expensive bill in the mail, however, my furnace stopped working before I could even cut the check! All things considered, I think I will be complaining to the HVAC company about their employee this time.
