Our school offers an HVAC course, and I think that I am going to join it.
- For years, people have been complaining that there aren’t any practical courses in high schools.
We learn a lot about math and science, but we don’t learn anything about personal finances and taxes. Well, our school has decided to try and change that, and they have been working on adding more classes. One of the teachers happened to be an HVAC technician before they began teaching in the more practical side of teaching, and the school asked him if he would be willing to teach some basic things about HVAC units. He agreed, and they began developing an HVAC program for the students. Apparently, we will be learning how HVAC units work, the history of the HVAC field, and basic repairs and troubleshooting when it comes to simple furnaces and air conditioners. The goal of the HVAC course deals with two things. First, they want to encourage students who want to be HVAC technicians to start learning the basics right now. However, they also want to help students who don’t ever plan on being HVAC technicians. By teaching simple HVAC repairs, students will be able to save money on their own furnaces and air conditioners when they own their own houses. Most of these students will have a problem with their HVAC units, and this course would be very helpful for them. My dad told me that it would be a great idea to take the HVAC course and try to learn as much as possible. Then, he could pay me to help them with our HVAC units to give me more practice.
