They wanted to remove the southwest style theme

Nick May 23, 2019

A call came in the other week from a shopper who seemed really upset with it all. They started out by telling us that they had gotten a lake house in our location & were flying in the following afternoon to check it out. They had seen the images online of it but had never seen it in person. All every one of us knew ahead of time was that it was an old Southwest Style lake house & that it had been vacant for nearly 3 years. Every one of us have done Southwest Sparkler before & knew that it was a difficult thing. Often time every one of us need to take into considerations the heavy colors, broken up rooms, & thick fabrics that our purchasers don’t want removed from the house. This limits what every one of us can do with a section & our, “theme”, does not exactly match that of our purchasers. Every one of us met at the house & it was pretty much what every one of us had thought it would be. The client, but, was not. Every one of us thought that every one of us would hear all about the preservation of the southwest design & instead they wanted it completely changed. They wanted to have bright colors, and white furnishings. They also wanted all new couches and chairs. I tried to explain things like cost, integrity of the structure, & overall look of the south west style but they were not willing to listen to any of that. They are from a neighborhood up North & live in one of those beach house apartments so they are used to new decor.
