When I was a kid, I never got much attention around the home, parents busy and always working.
I had to basically find a way to keep myself both motivated and entertained during those summer months, especially. And ONE thing I would do, when it was too hot during that time, was to go outside and get wet with the water hose….only to later find that I would have to be clever enough to keep myself from getting too bored, annoyed, or shy — when the neighbors would give me funny looks. Then I’d go back in, and the heat wasn’t so bad, even when the AC was not working half the time. We had a very small one that did its job, like I said, every other day, literally. One day it was all fine, and the other, it was breaking down and having issues. Our HVAC provider, at the time, was a man who was a friend of my dad, but he was hard to reach, as well, often over – booked with appointments. Yet with that all said, when he did come by to fix the cooling system, it actually worked well and had no problems. But the issue was, he kept fixing an old one that simply needed to be replaced, at that point ; repairs, in fact, would only slightly hinder its inevitable demise. That air conditioner was a dinosaur, ready to fall apart at any second, and without further saving, he heh. It would be time to invest in a new one, very, very soon….
