I assumed that was the reason why we did not have any heat in the household
One time when I was 15, I agreed to babysit two little youngsters. My parents knew the mother and father and they set up the arrangement. The parents left for a wedding on a Saturday afternoon, and I was responsible for the two children until 9 p.m. that evening. I made the youngsters dinner and we easily watched a film on the television. I was starting to get sleepy when the smallest child began crying. I got up and grabbed the baby. It was a little frosty in that house, so I looked for the thermostat. I could not find a thermostat at all in that modern household and it was getting colder by the minute. I knew the gas furnace was definitely out. I put on my sweatshirt and I made the choice to make a pizza for the youngsters. I thought the oven running would add some warmth to the living space. I could not figure out how to work the oven, and the pizza would not fit in the microwave. When I figured out how to turn on the oven, I started cooking the cheese and ham pizza and returned to the youngsters. A few hours later, I heard an odd and loud sound coming from the basement. Since my family has a gas furnace, I knew that the sound was definitely not good. I assumed that was the reason why we did not have any heat in the household. I called my mother at my household and I tried to get some advice. She helped me light the pilot light so the gas furnace would come on and heat the household. Thankfully, that fixed the heating device problem.
