We all make mistakes, but one of my biggest mistakes was buying our HVAC system.
It was said to be a good system, but you can’t tell by me.
I have had trouble with the HVAC system since shortly after I bought it. Some of the problem was ours. We wanted to save money, so we decided to go cheap. We may have been able to afford a better HVAC system, and I ‘m sure we could have also gotten credit. Instead of doing the right thing; we did the cheap thing. The HVAC system was supposed to be serviced every year. In order to save a bit more money, we opted to do the servicing on our own. We didn’t want to spend the money they wanted for a maintenance plan on the HVAC system. Maintenance seemed to be a simple thing to do, and I thought I would be able to do it. Between my doing my own maintenance and the HVAC system being cheap, it didn’t work very long. I was only looking for something that was cheap and worked, which isn’t very high standards when looking for an air conditioning unit or a furnace. I think I’m going to end up buying a new air conditioning unit, quite soon. This time I’m going to talk to a real HVAC company. I am also going to purchase the maintenance agreement for the AC unit. Our being cheap is possibly the worst thing that could have happened to us. We have a horrible HVAC system, and less than five years later, we are purchasing a new air conditioning unit.
