My best friend and I are co-workers.
Both of us work for the same HVAC repair service.
There are times when the two of us work together. It is almost impossible to complete a full installation job without another person present. Even with two people, a full HVAC installation job can still take 8 hours. My best friend and I were sent out to a farm house to replace a heat pump and air conditioner. The morning appointment was scheduled for 9 a.m. and my boss told the homeowner that we would be there all day working on the HVAC installation job. When my friend and I arrived, we saw a big black dog standing on the front porch. The dog seemed to be friendly. He was wagging his tail even though he was working. My friend and I got out of the work truck and I decided to walk up to the front door to talk to the customer. I was halfway down the walk path when the dog jumped up from the porch and started chasing me. He was growling and snarling and I thought he was going to bite my leg. I jumped into the back of the van before the dog could reach me. I immediately called the homeowner and reported the dog behavior. I wanted to help and complete the HVAC installation job, but I wasn’t going to take any chances with the dog. I got but once in the past and I had to have thirteen stitches in my hand.
