Back when I married our partner plus the two of us combined our two incomes, I thought that the two of us would have our beach home within a year.
We thought everything would turn out perfectly. But almost the opposite of what happened… It has been 3 plus the two of us have not been able to buy a house yet. I am so sick of living in an apartment, plus I would like a beach home to call our very own. We have had troubles taking out a loan as well as a few other things have made it near impossible to entirely get a house. We have been working lots of overtime, just to save up as much money as possible. That’s just so the two of us don’t have to take out as much money, however it just seems like it is taking forever. I have been looking at new home listings everyday. While I started off being picky at what beach home the two of us decide on, it is getting to the point now where almost anything goes. Lately our partner has suggested looking at short term beach home rentals. With short term home rentals, the two of us can still get the experience of living in a house. But with a rental, the two of us don’t have to worry about paying an arm plus a leg. I like short term housing, but I’ve been kind of keeping an eye out for short term rental housing anyway. I don’t suppose I will be diving into short term housing just yet. I guess I’m still holding out hope that maybe if the two of us are lucky we’ll find the perfect home for us. If we don’t find anything soon that might be our only option! But really, anything is better than our apartment.
