I prefer to do my workouts outside

I love living in a college town! I was born in a small town nearby, and grew up in the shadow of the university. To be clear, I didn’t go to school here, or anywhere for that matter. I graduated high school and got to work as a blue collar guy, and I was always okay with that. School was never a good fit for me, and I prefer working to studying. As a “townie” I have great affection for the college, as it provides a great life for this town! There is no shortage of gyms around the campus, but I always prefer to get my exercise outside, usually in the football stadium. Why would anyone want to sweat and strain away from the natural sunlight in the belly of a massive gym when they could be outside? I follow my own personal workout program that I have been developing over the last few years, and it works well for me. When I started I was very overweight, and I did consult a personal trainer for pointers on what to do. Getting into better shape isn’t just exercise, it is also nutritional programs and healthy sleep patterns! I found that I got a lot better results, both mentally and physically, from being outside, so I switched my training methods away from the gym and into the great outdoors. Three times a week I run the stadium steps in the football arena, and it is the hardest part of my health and wellness workout program. Getting to the top of the stadium is my favorite part, though.
