I used to dread all my HVAC tune ups.
- It wasn’t that I didn’t appreciate the HVAC professionals who came to look at my furnace and air conditioner, the cost, or the time it took to hire someone.
The reason I dreaded the HVAC tuneups was because my HVAC system was so old and it needed to be replaced. I tried to put off the inevitable for as long as I could, but eventually I realized that it made smarter sense to replace my HVAC system instead of paying for the higher utility bills over time. In order to save money though, I thought I could purchase my own HVAC system and then have an HVAC professional install it. However, when I told the HVAC company that this is what I was going to do, they told me that it was a terrible idea. At first, I thought they were just trying to scam me into paying for their equipment. However, when they told me that the HVAC equipment had to be properly sized for my house and heat and air needs, I understood what they were saying. According to the HVAC professional’s, if the HVAC equipment isn’t sized properly, not only will it not heat or cool the house to the temperature I desire, but it will run inefficiently. I was trying to avoid high utility bills, so it was in my best interest to hire an HVAC professional to come sized my new HVAC system properly. I’m really glad I listened to them, because I haven’t had any issues since the new HVAC system was installed!
