My child Savvy chose to enter the workforce at the best time it seems.
Only a few weeks ago she turned 16, got a car, plus was able to get a nice job in the food service industry. They actually made her a hostess, plus paid her minimum wage plus tips, and for a first job, it was not so bad. Savvy adapted to the job environment in no time. It didn’t take especially long before she outgrew the place, plus moved to a better pizzeria plus that’s when the real money started coming in. One of the tricks Savvy learned working this job was to check the different zones of the temperature control system to find any temperature differences. If she understands where all the HVAC vents are located then she can direct certain people to places that happen to be warmer or cooler depending on their needs. We honestly have a lot of old folks in our area, so she was able to see that kneeling them right under an air conditioning system vent was rarely a fantastic plan because of how frigid it would be for them. On the other hand, younger people coming in on their breaks for lunch didn’t enjoy too much heating so she would seat them far away from the windows, which were the warmest area in the dining area. Of course it works both ways, so when there are repeat customers who are severely rude or don’t tip super well, she will lay them in a temperature zone where they will not be entirely comfortable. She is kind of salty at certain times, however I entirely care about how she is using the Heating, Ventilation and A/C machine for her own purposes.
