Every year, it seems, something good comes from the Christmas season. People are in a giving mood like they are at no other time of year. It is true, I do admit, that each year Christmas seems to become more and more commercialized two. Even so, there are still plenty of stories of Goodwill to share. One of those stories involves our local HVAC company. The heating and cooling company that is about 3 miles from my house has decided that this year they are in a giving mood, and they want to help someone who needs it. They ran a program on social media and they were giving away a free HVAC system. All anyone needed to do was go on to their social media platform, click a link and submit information about why they needed a new heating and cooling system. Of course, the idea is that they would give the air conditioner to someone who could otherwise not afford it. This was no ordinary HVAC system, either. the particular HVAC unit that they were giving away Embraces all there is to Modern HVAC technology. The unit would consist of HVAC with Zone control, Smart thermostat, AC sensors to detect when people were in the room, and I don’t even know what else. I’m not heavily in need. If I had to get a new air conditioning system, I could find a way to do so. Therefore I did not apply for the contest. However, I did speak to my friend who runs one of the local shelters for the homeless. I remembered that she told me how expensive it was to pay the utility bill because she had a highly inefficient heating and cooling system.I’m not Sure who won, but I hope my friend does.
