My wife Beth & I were so entirely excited to purchase a new home with an abundance of property.
At 1 time, the lakeside home was a small farm with cows, sheep & horses.
They grew corn & hay, however unfortunately, all of the remaining barns & fences had fallen to ruin. They presented a clear danger plus were ugly. Every one of us originally planned to handle the removal ourselves. However, when Beth and I looked more closely at the barns, she saw that the roofs were collapsing, the floors were rotted & the whole structure was unstable. Every one of us no longer felt Beth and I had the know-how or tools to safely complete the job. Every one of us hired a local business who was also willing to haul away the debris. The business offered to handle the fence removal as well. Once again, Beth and I believed the people I was with and I could save cash by making it a DIY project. Beth and I spent over a month laboring on getting rid of that fence, then my wife & I got scratched by thorns, stung by bees, sunburned & also came down with a case of poison ivy. It was a slow, frustrating & nearly impossible process. The wire fencing was completely entangled in the ground vegetation & embedded deep into the ground. I finally researched & found a local fencing dealer. I called for a price quote & was amazed by the adequate price. At that point, I would have paid almost anything to have someone else pull out the endless amount of fence. A crew of working women arrived with specialized tools & had all of the fence removed within 1 single day.
