I just can’t seem to get my house cool enough with the temp outside exceeding 100 F lately.
I guess I am going to have to call an HVAC company to come check out my air conditioner and also try to find some energy saving ideas online because my power bills have been really high with the AC unit running constantly.
I think part of the problem is my old windows which aren’t closing tightly anymore and letting a lot of hot air in. Maybe I am going to have to call a window company along with the air conditioning company. Another option would be to just move into a smaller place because my landlord doesn’t pay for anything and I am always digging into my pocket to make this house livable. I bet I could rent a new place with brand new HVAC equipment for about the same price if I moved away from the city center. I don’t mind living on the outskirts of the city if the rent is going to be a lot less for a better place. I would also save a lot on power bills because I am sure the new HVAC systems are a lot more efficient than the old beast in my place here. I may try to secure the windows somehow so they are at least closed tightly where air can’t get in. I think new windows would just cost way too much. If I am lucky they may tell me that I just need to tune up my air conditioner.
