I am going to replace all the windows in my household.
My goodness it is going to be expensive and time consuming.
I have started out slowly but eventually I will just need to pick a day to do the whole project. Both bathrooms have been redmoled and gotten a new window. My kitchen window was updated about a year ago. My husband recently added a window to the laundry room. There are still the living room windows and all the bedrooms to go. That is about 10 windows that need to be replaced. Everybody thinks I am crazy for wanting to replace them. They aren’t cracked and if you really dedicate yourself, you can get them open. I would like to easily open my window for a fresh breeze. I also would like to turn off the AC in the summertime and just use the open windows instead. In the wintertime I know having airtight windows would be better for the energy bills. Right now I think there is no way that the air isn’t leaking through. I can feel how cold it is around the frames. Having new, modern windows put in will be better. Pretty sure my windows are from the 80s. The hardware is all old and rusted. The glass is fogged and has webs on them. It really makes sense to update everything to make it better heating and cooling wise. I also like the thought of the windows looking better. Right now the windows are an eyesore on my house. Eventually they will brighten it up.
