A Landlord Should Try to Have a Killer Handyman on Call Always

Nick November 24, 2022

I live in an apartment that I have been renting for 12 years now.

I love living here because the apartment is located in a gated community, it’s quiet, and it has a small park where my pig can run around and play. And not to mention that my landlord is great, he consistently responds to myself and others if I need something, or if an item is broken inside the apartment. He has a handyman, Davey, that he uses all the time and he has fixed my dryer and my dishwasher. A few weeks ago, I had an issue with the faucet in my tub as out of nowhere it began to drip water, so I contacted my landlord to tell him of the issue. I thought for sure he would have sent a plumber over to repair the faucet but instead, Davey showed up and fixed it with no complications. However, Davey is a handyman that is literally a jack of all trades and he seems to recognize how to repair almost anything in the house. I jokingly asked him if there was anything that he couldn’t fix. And he said the only thing that he didn’t do was repair heating, ventilation, and A/C units or perform electrical work. As a landlord and property owner, it’s consistently great to have a reliable handyman on call when you need him. And it’s especially good when the handyman has years of experience and knows how to repair everything. Being a landlord and property owner is no self-explanatory task, but you can eliminate headaches when you can keep your tenants cheerful by making sure that there is no long wait when it comes to the repair of the property.
