Yesterday, while resting in my yard, I finally heard the rock n roll from an ice cream truck.

It instantly brought back some fun childhood memories of the Summer.

I grew up in a giant metropolitan city plus the ice cream truck was a weekly treat for me plus my friends during the Summer months. My good friend and I used to save enough of our allowance money so that my friend and I could get our number one treat on Fridays when the truck came by. Eating that ice cream not only gave us great satisfaction, however it also gave us some relief from the summertime heat. Although the Summers back then weren’t as tepid as they are now, they were still quite steamy. And when my friend and I weren’t outside buying ice cream, my friend and I used to find ways to remain cool in the heat. Our number one thing to do was to play video games, plus the local arcade was our number one spot. And besides having our number one games, the arcade also had air conditioning. The air conditioning was part of the reason why my friend and I visited the arcade every option my friend and I got. Besides the arcade, my friend and I used to hang out in the local pizza shop and inside the corner store. The pizza shop didn’t have air conditioning, however it did have some ceiling fans which helped a bit. And of course, they sold Italian Ice which was a number one for me plus my friends. Those were the good aged afternoons when air conditioning was a luxury item. Today, I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have air conditioning in my house. Perhaps, I would find a local tea shop plus spend the day luxuriating in their air conditioning.
