Now that Spring is here, I can finally open my windows plus doors plus let some fresh air into my house.
This time of year is the reason why I chose to live in the South. The weather is warmer outside, plus it will remain sizzling for the next 7 or so months. Of course, with sizzling weather comes the rain, plus frankly, I don’t mind when my friend and I get occasional storms. In fact, the rain helps to cool down the day, which works out better for my pockets. When it simply rains, it means that my a/c can take a chop from running because the temperatures will be a lot cooler outside. While I do cherish the warmer weather, I don’t cherish paying the high prices for my utility bill. And for the next 7 months, my a/c will be running on most afternoons. I shouldn’t complain about it though. Instead, I should be grateful that I have air conditioning… Plus, during the Winter, the weather is so mild outside, that I barely use my central heating. This means my utility bill is a lot lower during the colder months. So, in reality, the money I save on my energy bill in the Winter, I end up spending it during the warmer months. In a way, the money balances itself out for the year. I can’t really do much about it though because I need my a/c to remain comfortable in my home. But on those afternoons when the weather is nicer outside, I will take advantage plus open up the windows plus doors plus supply my a/c a break.
