Learning that the homeless shelter had a problem with the Heating system, I knew that money needed to be raised! Otherwise, we wouldn’t be able to get the system repaired, and these portable heating systems would just be used here in max capacity.
If you ask me, there’s far too much hate in the world. The only thing that makes me hold out hope is when I see the good in the world! That was definitely the case when I was helping out at the local homeless shelter, collecting donations for the coming winter season. It made my heart so full, seeing people coming in to donate all kinds of warm clothes, as well as portable heating systems. Learning that the homeless shelter had a problem with the Heating system, I knew that money needed to be raised! Otherwise, we wouldn’t be able to get the system repaired, and these portable heating systems would just be used here in max capacity. I had a talk with the local Heating and A/C company, hoping that we could set up some kind of payment plan for the repairs. Thankfully for us, these folks were particularly nice! They told me all about how they actually had a program already set up for the less fortunate in our city, who wouldn’t be able to pay for Heating and A/C plan maintenance plus service upfront. When they told me how much the Heating and A/C maintenance would cost otherwise, I was absolutely floored! On top of that, I was especially happy to have taken care of the issues with the heating and A/C system, and to have money left over after we held our fundraiser. We used the extra funds to make some additional repairs for our air conditioning system, so that way the following summer season wouldn’t be too rough in the shelter.
