Back in June, my boss made the decision to move from one office location to another.

One of the things we do is serve as an advocate for our membership base, so it makes sense to be closer to the state capitol building.

He was able to get a pretty decent price on an office in a downtown building that is known for being pricey, and until we moved in, I had no idea why the price was so reasonable. Well, the reason is the HVAC. The heating and cooling in our little suite of offices is unreliable and downright frustrating, actually. Both my boss and I are hot-natured, so we both like to have a cool environment, but he takes it to an extreme. Unfortunately for us, his office was hot all summer. No matter where he set the a/c thermostat, it would never get cool enough in his office. He would set the thermostat on 68, but it would always be 73 or 74 degrees in there. Then, to make matters worse for me, he would adjust the thermostat that controls my office and set it down to 63 in the hopes that it would somehow “overflow” into his office. Therefore, I was always freezing, and he was always hot. Finally, I had enough, and I called the property manager, who sent out an HVAC guy. They fixed the problem without delay, but now the colder weather is upon us, and I have discovered that the furnace for my office is not working correctly. Even though I set the thermostat to the heater, the air coming out of the vents is distinctly cold. The HVAC guy is always in our office, but it is never working 100% correctly.
