As a little kid, I was fascinated with all kinds of gadgets.
I know that since I graduated from high school in the 70’s, things have changed drastically.
I used to love watching the computers in school. They were huge and clumsy to use, but they were amazing. I couldn’t believe that you could input simple data and get a whole program printed out. I also couldn’t believe how much heat those machines put out and how much air conditioning they needed to be able to keep them cool. I have now become like the rest of the world. I tend to rely on technology for my everyday use. I couldn’t do my work without computers and everything I want to know, I find on the computer. I think the only technology I hadn’t used was a smart thermostat. I don’t know why I had put off buying a smart thermostat. I think a lot of my procrastination about the smart thermostat, was the price. When we finally had enough money saved to purchase the smart thermostat, we called the HVAC company. I wanted a qualified HVAC technician to install the smart thermostat for me. He was able to install an app on my telephone that would allow me to work the smart thermostat from all over the world. He showed me how to use the app. He also told me that all I had to do was input simple information. The smart thermostat was soon making temperature and humidity changes that would follow our personal habits. Technology is wonderful; isn’t it?
