My friends and I went to the fair last month.
We knew it was a dangerous place to spend the evening, but we wore two masks and we took plenty of hand sanitizer with us. My friends and I played a couple of games, but we did not ride any of the rides. We ate some funnel cakes and a turkey leg and we took some deep fried Oreos back to the house. My girlfriend picked out a pink and blue bag of cotton candy. While we were at the fair, my friends and I signed up for a contest to win a 25000 BTU AC unit from a local HVAC business. It was free to sign up for the contest. I had to provide my name, address, phone number, and email, but I was not required to make any purchase to qualify for the contest. I forgot all about the contest until yesterday when I received a telephone call from the HVAC business. The owner of the company was calling to congratulate me, because I won the 25000 BTU AC unit. The guy wanted to set up an appointment so they could come to my home and install the machine at no cost. I thought it was a joke, but the manager assured me that I won the item and it was completely free. When I told my girlfriend about the cool and exciting prize, she was in total disbelief as well. The next day though, the two of us happily watched as the new AC was installed in our living room.
