Last Wednesday night, the power in my current home went out; It was around 9 at night and I assumed it was the entire current home building.
It was raining and dreary outside and I assumed a tree fell on a power pole.
I waited about 30 minutes and after that I called the service staff to report the problem. I asked them if it was just our building or the entire current home complex, the service manager told me that no a single else had reported a power outage. I instantly went next door to my neighbor’s arena and I knocked on his door, and he constantly stays up late playing video games, so I knew he would not be sleeping… Sure enough, Jack answered the door a few hours after I knocked. I could see that he had power in his apartment. I quickly explained the situation and apologized for bothering the guy. He offered to let me stay in his current home while the service staff fixed the problem with the power. It was a honestly nice gesture, but I did not know they were going to make me wait a easily long time, however my cellphone rang about 10 minutes after I went next door to speak with Jack. The service staff could not fix the problem tonight and they told me that it would have to wait until the morning. They apologized and claimed there was nothing else that they could do. Since Jack had already offered to provide me a arena to stay, I went back to his current home to see if the offer was still good.
