I just don’t want to be gone for years on end anymore because I lose touch with all of my family and friends back home here
It’s just way too hot here to do anything outside so I’m staying in my air conditioned house during the day. I am 55 years old now and can really feel how my age affects my energy level when the heat comes. I’ve been working as a local HVAC contractor overseas and just came back after two and a half years away, only to see how my parents are aging too, and it is kind of sad seeing them slipping away. I need to try and look at the bright side and just appreciate them while they are here but it’s tough when I’m leaving again in a few days and won’t be back for six months. Maybe I can get a job here in the states again at one of the local businesses or doing HVAC repairs for an HVAC company. Ideally, I would like to spend three months here and then three months overseas so I am not gone for such a long time. I think I could get a job as an HVAC specialist here in my hometown or even work with my friend who is a local contractor and does remodeling jobs on homes. I just don’t want to be gone for years on end anymore because I lose touch with all of my family and friends back home here. I was thinking about starting up a small business online selling smart thermostats because I still have a lot of connections with colleagues in the industry and have a ton of old customers I could contact.
