They have a raffle to win a five year service plan at the local business which sells HVAC equipment.
I would love to win it because my service plan is expiring in two weeks and it would be great to get five more years of service for free. I know that my odds of winning the raffle are slim but they are even slimmer if I don’t try at all. So today I will go down to the local contractor to fill out a raffle ticket and put it in the hopper. There are probably 4000 other people trying to win too so my odds are pretty slim but you never know. I may talk to the HVAC specialist there about some homeowner solutions for saving on my power bills. I want to ask them if there is something I can do myself to keep the unit running smoothly. Maybe I can clean something on it other than the HEPA filter to keep it running efficiently like it has been over the past several years. It had a really high SEER rating when I bought it and I would like to keep that rating for as long as I own the unit. I’m not sure if the rating drops when the HVAC system gets dirty but I would imagine it does. I always clean my HEPA filter every three months so at least I got that goin for me. It has a geothermal heat pump which keeps our heating bills really low even in the coldest of months. Wish me luck.
