This new inverter air compressor seems to be really efficient compared to the other one we used to have.
I’m not sure how it works but our power bill is a lot less now than it was a year ago at this time.
It also seems to be a lot quieter than the old HVAC unit when it turns on so maybe it just draws less power overall. I need to look online and see what they say about the difference between the two because my mom is asking about it and may want to get one too. She said that her air conditioner is about 13 years old and will need to be replaced soon. They live by the beach and the salt air really does a number on the compressors outside of each home in her neighborhood. She told me that they are going to get a whole new air handler and compressor this time but that the ductwork will remain the same. I guess you don’t really need to replace ductwork unless it falls apart as the house pretty much uses the same ducts regardless of the compressor or air handler you put in. I rent my place where I live overseas so I don’t have to worry about any of this stuff because the owner pays for it all. I may need to get a flatmate though because the rent went up a bit more and it is just above my monthly income when you count in all of my living expenses. Everything will fall into place as it always does.
