The dust after my projects

The dust after my projects

Nick July 18, 2022

When I obtained our home I right away began doing projects. So I started with ripping up the aged tile and laying down modern carpet. I painted all the doorways and washed them. I even took down the wooden doors and sanded them as well, lastly I removed the popcorn from the ceilings and I gutted the master powder room… All the renovations created a lot of dust, but since I wasn’t living at the house at the time, I didn’t worry about the dust. I just did the work, used the a/c and cleaned up as best I could. After I finished everything up I did a deep scrub and moved everything in, but once I lived there for a while I noticed I couldn’t keep any of our surfaces clean. I also tended to have sneezing fits early in the morning when the a/c turned on. After a bit of research I deduced that our AC had sucked up all the debris in the condo and was running it through the ductwork. I didn’t want to have polluted indoor air quality and be breathing it afternoon in and afternoon out. So I bought a ductwork cleaning appointment, but the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C worker stuck a long hose in each air vent opening and sucked up all the webs, dust and debris. What was cool is that the vacuum had a camera on the end that showed me everything it was doing. I even got picture printouts of the cleaned ducts when the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C supplier was done, but my condo feels so much cleaner and better now after that appointment.
