It’s a/c season in this part of the country.
Most people hardly even call this time of year summer.
It’s heat season for us locals and natives. And there is a certain acceptance about the level of heat and humidity necessary if you’re going to live and thrive in this area. For me, I’m not only a native however our family goes back multiple generations. I still suppose about the stories our Grandpa would tell about living without residential Heating and Air Conditioning. He worked a farm and would get up each day just before 3 AM in order to get the chores done by dinnertime. Once the peak heating minutes hit back then, there was nothing to do however find some shade, a fan and be still. I still can’t imagine just what that would be like. I love living here and the heat comes with that however I’m still not sure how I’d fare without the cooling comfort from the heat pump. I work at house so I guess first hand just how warm a house can get. To save cash, I try to keep the control unit setting around 75 while I was in the heat of the day. Then, I lower it down to the mid 69’s in late evening so we have plenty of cooling comfort for sleep. But it isn’t just the Heating and Air Conditioning cooling that I’m getting from the heat pump. Without the Heating and Air Conditioning cooling process, the humidity levels in the house wouldn’t be balanced. Without the balancing of the humidity levels from the heat pump, there would be a whole lot more mold & mildew in our life. And I can assure you that it not something that I’m looking for.
