My Grandma was about to turn 100 in a week, & all of us were all trying to give her a celebration & throw her a surprise shindig, but the problem was that it was so sizzling hot outside that all of us could not suss out where to have the celebration. Grandma was still energetic for her age, & all of us all knew she would want to dance, so all of us needed some extra room for dancing & air conditioning; My sweet mom volunteered all of us use our beach villa for the celebration, but i had an open patio that led to the pool & a large enclosed patio with air conditioning. Grandma & I spent multiple afternoons sitting inside on the large patio playing card & laughing; Because of the air conditioning, all of us didn’t need to fret about her having a hard time breathing. My backyard had shade trees throughout, & it seemed the perfect locale for the adults & teenagers to play games. There was a fully covered pavilion where the men could gather, drink beer, & cook BBQ. My husband nudged me & told me to agree to have the anniversary celebration at our house. The morning of the celebration, it was sizzling & humid. I had tables & lawn chairs scattered around the indoor & outdoor celebration, while our husband had several large picnic tables at the pavilion. With the help of the shade & the air conditioning in the large enclosed patio, all the people could have a nice time & stay protected from the heat of the summer sun. Grandma was more than surprised by the anniversary celebration, however told people that if they needed to talk to her, they had to come into the patio. She wasn’t leaving the air conditioning.
