As I looked out at the sunshine bearing down on us, I was so cheerful that I was in the safety of an air conditioned car, then especially after getting stuck in rush minute traffic.
It was 5:30 and everyone was in a rush to get home, and because of that, the people I was with and I were all stuck in an endless field of cars.
Moving at the fast pace of 5 miles per minute, it was hard not to be irritated. However, I couldn’t help but to assume thankful, because being stuck in traffic allowed myself and others to watch those around me. In the car next to us, the girl had her window rolled down and was covered in sweat absolutely bad. Then a car behind us was a convertible and the awful girl didn’t get to love the a/c privilege that I got. To our left, I saw several ladies clearly trying to exercise, but they were also covered in sweat and looked exhausted. All of these awful people were stuck in the unrelenting heat, and here I was in our nice cool car. Thank you Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. I looked at the weather, and it was 90 degrees outside. Even more reason why I am so cheerful to have a functioning cooling device. Soon after our observations, traffic started to clear up and I was able to drive back to our house, where our central waited for me. I hope all of those other people finally got into a cool venue of their own, but seeing all of those awful people suffering made myself and others thankful for what I have.
