This cottage had never had any form of heating and cooling
I was quite excited. This weekend, I was going to be going to see our Grandpa’s old cottage in the woods. This was a spot that our siblings and I would visit all of the time and our Grandpa would tell us spooky stories. I remember getting so scared by some of those stories, however constantly wanting more! Sadly, as all of us grew older, our visits became less frequent, because all of us had to worry about collegework and household chores with our parents. Then our Grandpa passed away and I visited the cottage briefly for memory’s sake. My siblings and I talked over the fine times before leaving. That was decades ago. Now, with a family of our own, I was hoping to continue the tradition. I took our young kids with our fiance and all of us all visited the cottage. It was just how I remembered it, except it looked a lot smaller since I had grown. While I had a fantastic time scaring our kids with stories, it was kind of hard to focus, because of the lack of a/c. I assume the lack of cooling system didn’t bother me as a kid, however it particularly bothered me as an adult. This cottage had never had any form of heating and cooling. Rather than have an high-priced Heating, Ventilation, and A/C installation in the cottage, I decided that next time all of us come over, I will buy a portable heating and cooling system unit before the trip. When I was done telling all of the stories, our kids were too scared to complain about the lack of Heating, Ventilation, and A/C.
